Tiny bird lessons

I’m like that tiny bird in the tree
Unaware of the smallness
And fragility of me
Not concerned with the ways
that I seem
In a world that’s much bigger than me.
But what if the bird
Were sometimes like me?
Would she tremble in fear from the height in the tree?
Would she be aware of down?
Could she even consider a fall?
Would she worry and fret
Within the size of her small?
Do we think the bird selfish
For things unaware?
Do we call her presumptuous
For her tiny greatness and flare?
No- we just watch her
Such a marvelous thing-
And forget that we all
Come graced with those wings.
